Exchange tour to Czech Republic and Poland:

Dilemma of Romani Educational Segregation

ONE journey. Two countries. Four cities. Bringing you to the core of the segregation policy. Join WUS on a rewarding journey to Czech Republic and Poland! This year’s focus would be on the issue of Roma's educational policies.

Roma, popularly known as Gypsies, are a group of ethnic minorities living across Europe. For generations, they have been marginalized and discriminated against by Europeans.

We will investigate the segregation policy and integration policy adopted in Czech Republic and Poland respectively. We will look into the pros and cons of the policies, and how they affect Roma students.

Exchange and visits to NGOs, universities and museums will be made (examples below): 
A. ROMEA
B. Office for Democratic Institution and Human Rights
C. Pedagogical University, Krakow
D. Museum of Romani Culture

Details of trip:

Date: 30th December, 2017 - 13th January, 2018 (12 full days)
Cities: Prague, Brno (Czech Republic), Krakow, Warsaw (Poland) 
Fee: 16000 HKD (includes round trip economy class air tickets, tax, transportation, tour guide, accommodation, entrance fees, some meals and travel insurance) 
Application deadline: 12rd October, 2017
