Apart from the 'white collar' hustling and bustling in Wan Chai commercial district, there are also a group of 'blue collar' working diligently against all odds: they are the people with intellectual disability who ignite the lights of life in sheltered workshop!

In response to the injustice towards mentally retarded people in working environment, WUS co-organized a community visit 'Ignite their Lights' to the sheltered workshop of a local NGO St. James Settlement (SJS), so as to promote our objective ‘Equal Opportunity’. Apart from grasping the skills needed for communicating with mentally retarded people through a training workshop offered by social worker, participants also participated in SJS members' routine work in person and had a lively interaction with the SJS members. not only did we obtain a better understanding more about their working processes afterwards, but more importantly we experienced the light of self-fulfillment shone from the Fighters of Life!
